‘Timeless Treks’ is an interesting variation on a familiar theme. Its scope ranges from the Hindu Kush and Karakorum to Spitzbergen, from the Alps in summer and winter, and to much loved European and Scottish hills. It differs from most similar accounts of expeditions and trekking in that all the treks described were undertaken by a couple during their 7th and 8th decades, not with perfect health or limitless finances but with a desire that ‘age should not weary nor the years condemn’.
