Southport’s Landowning Families: The Blundells, Heskeths, Bolds and Scarisbricks
Title
Info
Following the success of ‘Old Barkdale and Ainsdale’ in 1985 the BIrkdale and Ainsdale Historical Research Society was formed to research and then publish books on the history of Southport and its neighbourhood. This volume, its last major project, is the fourteenth written by members, of the Society. It follows the histories of the families who owned the land on which the present town arose, and examines the important part they played as landowners in the development of the Southport we know today.
Here’s what Sylvia Harrop says about working with Carnegie Scotforth Books:
“We would strongly recommend Scotforth Books to anyone else. They are friendly, efficient, reliable and a real pleasure to deal with. We have had a personal service, skilfully guiding us through the intricacies of putting our book together. We are very pleased with the final result, which has had an overwhelmingly positive reception.”
